Uniform Guidelines & Assistance

Whittier Elementary is proud to be a uniform school. The feedback we have received from parents and the community regarding our mandatory policy has been very positive.  If you are in need of uniform assistance, please contact the office to fill out the appropriate paperwork.

Whittier Logo Apparel is available year-round. Order forms are available in the office and merchandise is delivered to your child at school. Stores that carry acceptable uniform pieces include Target, Walmart, Old Navy, Children’s Place, and others.

Approved Uniform Clothing

• Pants – Navy Blue or Khaki, Twill or Corduroy
• Shorts- Navy Blue or Khaki, Twill
• Capris-Navy Blue or Khaki, Twill
• Skort- Navy Blue or Khaki, Twill
• Skirt- Navy Blue, Khaki
• Jumper-Navy blue or Khaki, Twill
• Shirt- Navy blue or white polo collar or turtleneck, long or short sleeved (Shirt must have a collar and no other logos than Whittier Paw Print)
• Sweater –Long Sleeved cardigan, v-neck or crew neck
• Whittier Logo Apparel- Zip sweatshirt, crew sweatshirt, Fleece vest or jacket (These items may be worn in the classroom at all times)
• Navy or White socks & tights

Clothing Not Approved for Uniform

• T-shirt – shirts must have a collar to be in compliance
• Coats are not allowed in the classroom
• Blue jeans, pants with big gusset pockets or sweatpants
• Hats and scarves (in the classroom)
• Baggy clothing
• Colored or patterned socks and tights
